United Natural Foods extended it's environmentally responsible initiatives by installing the largest solar electric system in New England. They chose Alteris™ Renewables as the company to design, engineer and install a 500 kW PV system on the roof of their state-of-the-art distribution center. The system will save the company $65,900 in the first year alone and eliminate over 14,000,000 lbs. of carbon dioxide over the life.
“We're very pleased to partner with CCEF and Alteris™ Renewables in such a worthwhile endeavor. The project is just the latest initiative in the United Natural Foods' commitment to Environmentally Responsible Initiatives, helping to create a greener environment by utilizing clean, renewable energy.”
Michael Funk, President and CEO
