Puma North America

“Solar energy is a key component of the clean energy economy we are developing here in Massachusetts. Now is the time for businesses and homeowners to find out what…solar has to offer.”

Ian Bowles, Secretary, Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs for Massachusetts

Puma, Inc., is known for sleek, sporty footwear. The company also wanted their Westford, MA facility to be known for green, low-impact technologies. Using recycled materials for the interiors, developing high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, and installing a 200 kW solar electric system were key pieces of the plan to make the building as environmentally friendly as possible. Alteris Renewables played a crucial part in the greening of Puma, bringing exacting engineering skill to the design and installation of the large solar array. Puma’s investment in solar with Alteris Renewables allowed the company to realize an immediate 10% reduction in their energy bills.
