n August of 2006, Alteris™ Renewables transformed the roof of the Barnard School into the second largest solar panel project in the state. They installed 272 panels on the roof of the K-8 school. The system generates 16% of the school’s electricity needs.With support from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and expected state rebates, the city will break even on it’s contribution in less than a year.
