New England Institute of Technology

“Our mission at New England Institute of Technology is to provide specialized associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs which prepare students for careers in technology. An important objective in meeting our mission is to be environmentally responsible in the development and maintenance of our campus and to include environmentally responsible technologies in our curriculum. The wind turbine has proven to be ideal in meeting this objective.”

Seth Kurn, Executive Vice President, New England Institute of Technology

New England Institute of Technology is making an investment in its energy future, and in the future of its students by preparing them for “green collar jobs”. Using solar electric and wind turbine technologies, New England Tech will demonstrate the possibilities of renewable energy generation for both academic purposes and for economic and environmental concerns. Alteris Renewables was selected to install the Northwind 100 wind turbine after the successful installation of a 24kW solar electric system earlier in the year.
