Overview: Pine Point School in Stonington, CT, teaches its children well. In 2007, the school installed a 73 kW solar electric system through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Alteris Renewables and a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. Senator Joe Lieberman and other luminaries gathered in the spring of 2007 to celebrate Pine Point’s accomplishment of affordably installing a large solar array as an example of sustainability for its pupils and the community at large.
