In May of 2006, the University of Hartford “threw the switch” to mark the beginning of the operation of a fixed array of photovoltaic panels on the roof of Lincoln Theater. The university is using solar power to generate nearly 10 percent of the building’s power needs. The sixty three solar panels designed and installed by Alteris™ Renewables, will generate 17,500 kW hours of electricity a year.
