It all started with one person — Richard Wolbach, the energy management engineer at the Physical Plant Department on campus. He had taken a class about solar energy from Leigh Seddon, adjunct professor and President of Alteris™ Renewables When the roof of the central heating plant needed replacing, he suggested a solar installation and it was approved. Alteris™ Renewables engineered and installed forty eight 120 Watt panels generating 5,760kW per year.
